Annual Diversity & Inclusion Joint Event

with Suncoast HR:

Employment and Autism

This presentation will help increase your awareness of autism and employment-related autism statistics. We will take a closer look at the scope, impact, and intricacies of autism to better understand this increasingly prevalent disability. See what businesses are doing to create opportunities for this neurodiverse population, both locally and nationwide. More importantly, learn how you can be more prepared for a changing employment landscape where untraditional talent pools are being competitively accessed to boost both diversity and the bottom line.

Key learning objectives:

 1. Increase autism awareness, especially in understanding the disability's scope and relation to employment
 2. Current trends in employment related to autism (targeted hiring initiatives, skill-based interviews, etc.)
 3. HR/Employer impact of ADA (ex. reasonable accommodations)
