Dinner Meeting 2015-Criminal Record Checks – What Employers Need to Know to Avoid the EEOC

On April 25, 2012, the EEOC issued its Enforcement Guidance on the Consideration of Arrest and Conviction Records in Employment Decisions Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

There has been a lot of confusion and controversy ever since and this session will help employers understand the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) position on background checks, from what lead up to the new guidance, to what employers can do to avoid trouble, all of this coming in an action packed session with the former legal counsel of the EEOC himself!

This session will go well beyond just restating what the EEOC Guidelines says, but will actually give attendees a “Real World “insight from an EEOC insider who wrote EEOC Guidance. Examples, suggestions, tips and best practice on what employers should do now to remain in compliance while performing criminal background checks will all be addressed.

Additionally, there will be ample time for attendees to submit question prior to the start of this session, as well as Q & A at the end of the session.
