Join us for our monthly chapter meeting of March 16th for The Power of Stay Interviews. Turnover is on a fast rise and engagement has been stuck for 15 years…all while Deloitte says HR’s greatest challenge is to improve turnover and engagement. The problem seems dark, murky, and complex but the solution is clear. Employees really do leave managers and not companies, and more specifically they leave managers who cannot build trust. Dick Finnegan explains that Stay Interviews work because managers build trust with them and managers gather data to build individual stay plans that work. You will leave this session with full information to implement Stay Interviews in your organization. Click HERE to register!

Thank you to our March meeting sponsor.

The members of the Workforce Readiness team, led by Director, Deborah Erdahl are considering making changes to the 2016-2017 program.

Aimed at generating awareness and stimulating interest in careers within the Human Resources profession, the Workforce Readiness committee members engage high school students through related educational and participative activities.

At this time, we are soliciting program design input from HR Tampa active members interested in participating in a brainstorming session scheduled for Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

The desired outcome will be a new and exciting program through which we expand the awareness of the role HR plays in realizing business performance objectives, and generate interest in the many important career opportunities that are available.

If you are interested in taking part in this important brainstorming session, please contact Deborah at by Friday,
March 11, 2016.

As many of you are aware, because of your efforts last year, HR Tampa leadership has moved the Veteran Initiative from Workforce Readiness to the Diversity program and as a result, ongoing efforts are underway to bring "diversity and inclusion" into the Initiative through a myriad of ways, to include participation in upcoming webinars similar to "Building a Global Diversity and Inclusion Strategy" recently attended and workshop attendance similar to the “Diversity Forum” to be held at the University of Phoenix Temple Terrace campus.  If you are aware of, or are interested in serving with us in any capacity within the Diversity Committee, please let us know at (Read more...)

Your HR Tampa colleagues are hopeful that your time spent in transition to your next position is as short as possible.

To that end, we want to ensure that you are aware of the various tools available to you via your chapter membership.
