July 2016 Newsletter

July 2016

We are at the mid-point of 2016 and HR Tampa is not showing any signs of slowing down. Whether you are looking to become a member of this award-winning chapter, build your network of like-minded HR professionals, become more active in the community or keep up your recertification credits – HR Tampa has something for YOU!

Not a member of HR Tampa yet, we’ve got great news for you. Join today as a premium member for only $225 ($300 regular price) and attend the remaining 2016 chapter meetings, holiday party and annual Expo ($375 value). We are proud that we have not had to raise our membership rates while still offering exceptional programming for our members. This is made possible through sound accounting practices and the support of our loyal and generous sponsors.

As a career-professional, building your network should be on-going, not just when you are looking for a new position or moving to a new area. If you are planning to attend the HR Florida Conference at the end of August, we invite you to join us on Sunday, August 28th from 6-8PM as we kick off the conference HR Tampa style with food, beverages, games and networking. Shout-out to 5-Star Staffing for hosting this exclusive event! Remember to bring plenty of business cards.

Throughout the conference we invite all HR Tampa members to stop by our hospitality suite to take business calls, catch up on emails and, of course, network. Details on exact location of both suites will be announced via our Facebook and LinkedIn pages as well as through our board once the hotel assigns them.

Not yet registered for HR Florida? No worries. HR Tampa invites you to get involved in the community by helping us Stuff the Bus this summer! For every $10 you donate (monetary or school supplies), you will receive one entry into a drawing to win a FREE conference registration to the 2016 HR Florida Conference ($1,075 value) August 29-31. We will draw the winner “live” at our HR Tampa chapter meeting on July 20th.  A second drawing will be held August 17th to win a free registration to the HR Tampa Expo ($125 value) on October 19th. Back to School sales are in effect. Take advantage and help give back to our community!

HR Tampa President

Join us for our monthly chapter meeting of July 20th for How Smart Leaders Create Engaged Employees.

HR Tampa invites you to a workshop that could dramatically increase your leadership effectiveness and your team's performance.

Based on new, groundbreaking research by Dale Carnegie Training, we will show you the three clusters of behaviors that significantly impact engagement. Then, within each cluster we will break down the individual actions you can take to develop enthusiastic, empowered, confident and inspired employees - the type of employees who care, who want to be part of a success story and who will drive your organization to the top.
